STATE OF THE ARCTrajectory Planning Challenge · Earth
Keep individual calculations on paper. Alternate operator and checker. Physics reasoning is assessed separately from match outcome.

Shared evidence

Solid: supplied evidence

t = 0 s

Supplied / recorded data table
t (s)x (m)y (m)vx (m/s)vy (m/s)

Calculate before revealing

The partial vy–t graph stops at 1.5 s. Determine when it should end at the ground. Record L1.1–L1.5 below before testing a release point.

Individual response record

Use the numbered paper questions for equations and G.U.E.S.S. work. Type a response here or acknowledge that the matching question is on your paper. First responses remain available after corrections.

Lab records and classroom use

Earth g = 9.8 m/s². L1/L2 are supplied teaching fixtures, with a 19.6 m release height chosen for Earth. L2 adds constant horizontal acceleration. The existing competitive match remains no-wind, and uses its actual muzzle, terrain and collision rules.

Learning order: L1 calculation → teacher checkpoint → 1v1 selected attempt → L2 diagnosis → L3 evidence and revision → individual exit. Suggested lab time is two 43-minute classes, adjusted after class use.

Only completed observed match rounds enter the evidence viewer. Their original field and sealed orders reproduce the recorded trajectory through the same engine. Controlled practice has a separate label and cannot change a match result. Save important records before clearing browser data.
