One round. Two torpedoes. A turret surrounded by mines.
STUDENT MISSIONS
Explore the controls, then use your recorded flight to explain the physics.
FLIGHT SCHOOL ARCADE / PARTISAN MK II
Fly, coast, brake, carry cargo and match velocity in fourteen real-time missions. Review your flight graphs, try Pilot Math, race ghosts or share a Lunch Cup on one device.
Practice stars and Navigator badges are game awards. Written work is reviewed separately by your instructor.
MISSION 01 / SH SENTINEL
Fly the Sentinel corvette through a gentler CN minefield. Aim its turret independently, disable both batteries, and deliver the infiltration team to the relay.
Fly first. Calibrate thrusters afterward, then analyze your recorded maneuvers and shots.
The earlier Partisan lab, its guided prelab, and existing flight records remain available here.
LEGACY MISSION / SH PARTISAN
Deliver a Sol Heirs infiltration team to an automated CN relay. Plant a covert access device for a later operation, and keep the station intact.
Recommended after the 1D course and guided 2D bridge.
LEGACY MISSION / SH PARTISAN
A way in. A way back later.
MISSION BRIEF
Your Partisan carries a Sol Heirs infiltration team into the defenses of an automated CN station. The team must physically plant a dormant covert access device aboard the relay. Cross the minefield, disable both torpedo batteries, and dock with the station intact. Boarding and planting follow in the mission report.
Keep your original predictions and explain any revisions.
Fly the actual mission opening as your prelab: plot a short course, clear a mine with a timed shot, and brake to rest. Worked examples gradually give way to your calculations. The lab continues from the same ship state and record. Returning students may plan independently.
RECORDS & REPLAYS
Saved work belongs to this browser. Export a file to continue on another device.
Stars, first Pilot Math answers, predictions and ghosts stay in this browser. Open the arcade’s Hangar board to review pilot results. Arcade flights and Lunch Cups do not resume after reloading.
Open Flight School Arcade →Continue paused, replay observed maneuvers, calibrate thrusters, or try a short console revision.
When you run a sandbox battle, its latest checkpoint will appear here.
Open the file desk to save a map or import a battle.
Battle saves include pending orders, projectiles, timers, and recorded turns. Imported battles open paused.
Open your match on this browser, or assemble a new crew. Execution returns paused. Export or import a Skirmish match from its own console to continue on another device.
Skirmish keeps its own match save and last-round replay, separate from mission attempts and sandbox battles.
HELP & RESOURCES
Fly Ghost Key with Sentinel, calibrate afterward, then calculate on paper before revealing comparisons.
Read Ghost Key →Use Build to edit a scenario, Orders to command ships, History to replay, and Files to save or import work.
Open the sandbox →Set up 2–8 human or computer ships on one shared device. Choose teams or free-for-all, assign Easy, Standard or Hard computers, and use the setup walkthrough to get started. Friendly fire, solid cover and drifting wrecks shape each battle.
Set up a Skirmish →The menu pauses execution and replay. Returning to the sandbox or Skirmish leaves execution paused. Press Resume or Execute when you are ready.
Separate browsers and devices run separate simulations.
Export your battle before changing devices or ending class. Replaying recorded turns does not alter the live battle.
Open records & replays →Drag to pan; tap a contact to inspect. Arrow keys pan. Pinch or scroll to zoom.
Start at rest. Main engines are stronger than the braking and lateral thrusters.
● Team marker & ship ID · ● Solid cover · ◇ Disabled, collidable hull · Dashed edge: arena limit. Ships enlarge when zoomed out; collision circles remain to scale.
These are still examples. In a match, coasting and disabled ships have no exhaust. Pause freezes all effects. Calm effects uses steady flames and simple impact marks, following your device’s reduced-motion setting initially.
Edit places objects on the selected Z layer. Select an object to edit its exact coordinates, faction and controller. Start the scenario to enter ship orders.
All Crew and Teacher ships must commit an order, including explicit coast / hold fire. AI ships plan at the same turn boundary. Execution advances every ship together.
Use History to replay selected turns. Replay does not change the live battle. Files → Export live battle preserves pending orders, an unfinished turn, projectiles, and all recorded turns. Import it later and press Resume.
This version is a shared-console local prototype. Separate networked crew stations and interior boarding are not included. Fleet preview hides unpublished contacts visually; it is not a secure student login.
Ship labels: Off, Abbreviated, or Full detail. Zoom in to inspect physical hull outlines. Centered hits deal the most damage; grazing hits deal less. Damage rings can overlap, while breakup debris is decorative.
Explosions show their actual radius for several seconds. Trails and impact effects remain visible in replay. Changing the camera or labels does not change hit detection.
Positions: metres. Velocities: m/s. Forces: N. Ship damage and charge are game rules. Physics uses 20 ms steps with swept projectile collisions; replay samples every 100 ms. The grid is a display boundary.
