Welcome to the Sol Heirs training detachment. Work each problem on paper, enter your orders, then watch your ship execute them.

Start with the 1D Cadet Flight School: displacement, velocity, acceleration and motion graphs. A guided bridge introduces two axes. Continue with Basic Range and Motion Graphs in the 2D range. AP Physics 1 and Dead Reckoning are optional extensions. Your instructor reviews your written work before signing your qualification.

d: displacement or distance; v: velocity or speed; v: average velocity or speed; v_i, v_f: initial and final velocity or speed; a: acceleration; t: time interval. Here signed displacement and velocity describe direction.

The endpoint-average form and constant-acceleration equations apply over intervals with uniform acceleration. Treat G03’s two legs separately.

Range application: rounds coast, so v = v. For each axis, v_x = d_x/t and v_y = d_y/t. Subscripts x and y mark components, following the table’s vector convention. Coordinates x and y locate a point; displacement is final coordinate minus initial coordinate.

Use the same frame for displacement and velocity. In Dead Reckoning, first find the round’s map velocity using displacement divided by time, then subtract the ship’s map velocity to find launcher settings.
