Early Simulations
A look back at the ideas that shaped First Light Physics.
Before today’s collection, I built smaller games to make physics ideas visible and give students something to try. These earlier simulations preserve the visual styles, controls and challenges of that work.
Explore them to see how focused experiments grew toward more connected lessons, richer worlds and more ways to plan, test and explain.
For the fullest view of the original controls, use a computer or a tablet in landscape.
The collection dates roughly from 2023–2025; Frozen Momentum Defense is from 2025. The first three are grouped by topic, not a confirmed creation order.
Horizontal Launch Defense
Calculate a horizontal launch to stop an approaching threat. Connect drop height, flight time and horizontal speed in a compact defense game.
A single calculation becomes the deciding action in an unfolding scene.

Circle of the Dead
Spin up a projectile, change its mass and radius, and choose when to release it. Watch tangential velocity and centripetal force while defending against waves of enemies.
Real-time controls make changes in circular motion visible as you play.

Precision Tank Game
Choose launch angle and speed, account for wind and elevation, and test your aim in a tank battle. Change the conditions and see how the flight changes.
Player-controlled conditions bring projectile paths into a competitive game.

Frozen Momentum Defense
Scan incoming threats and plan collisions on a frozen landscape. Work through sticking collisions, elastic rebounds and recoil before a final chained challenge.
The format grows into linked missions with briefings, a field manual and visual feedback.
